Born in Uganda, Chinobay is an internationally acclaimed musician, composer, educator, and cultural ambassador whose work has connected audiences across continents through the universal language of music.
Known for his expressive voice, masterful command of traditional African instruments including the Kora, Kalimba, Endongo, and Tama (talking drum), Chinobay creates performances that honor tradition while embracing contemporary artistic expression.
His career has taken him to more than 70 countries, where he has performed at major festivals, theaters, universities, museums, and cultural institutions. Along the way he has developed a reputation not only as an exceptional performer, but also as a gifted educator and bridge-builder whose programs foster dialogue, understanding, and meaningful human connection.
Whether leading the dynamic Wamu Spirit Band, presenting the intimate solo concert Between Worlds, or collaborating with artists from around the world, Chinobay's work reflects a lifelong commitment to cultural exchange, artistic excellence, and community.
Today, he continues to tour internationally, bringing audiences together through music that is rooted in tradition, inspired by curiosity, and open to the world.
